Who We Are
We are a local charity providing help and support to local communities, community groups and charities across Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough. (Charity No. 1061373)
We were set up to support and empower the voluntary and community sector across these boroughs, and that is exactly what we have been doing for nearly 40 years.
What We Do
We offer support, funding advice, guidance, training and volunteering assistance to help groups thrive.
We have other schemes to benefit the local voluntary and community sector and provide help to communities. (See below.)
We receive our key funding from Bracknell Forest Council.

We support local people, local groups and local charities
We work to help people who are setting up or Developing a Charity or voluntary group. We can guide you through the process and support you and your organisation in order for you to continue to develop and grow.
We can signpost you to available Funding and also give Support on setting up governing documents & procedures.
We are the Volunteer Centre for Bracknell Forest and aim to encourage people to volunteer within their community. We can assist people with finding roles that are a suitable for them, and this includes people with additional needs thanks to our Supported Volunteering scheme.
We organise, advertise and run various Training Courses in different subjects that are extremely valuable topics within the workplace.
We run a Befriending Scheme for vulnerable elderly people in Bracknell Forest , which matches a volunteer befriender with a socially isolated person to encourage them to participate in community activities.
Our ‘One Phone Number’ can help you find appropriate local services and groups that you can benefit from. We also run a Community Choices scheme which helps find suitable groups or activities and provides extra support in getting you involved in them.
We are a local resource centre who provide information, meeting rooms and training as well as photocopying

The Volunteer Passport Scheme links volunteers and organisations in Bracknell Forest. Volunteers get their own ‘passport’ and skills portfolio which allows them to carry training across from each organisation they volunteer for, saving valuable time and money.
