Looking for a way to get outdoors, meet great people and do something that really matters? Joining our Green & Active Project will bring you a volunteering experience that’s good for the planet and your wellbeing. Together, we’re rolling up our sleeves to support Parks & Countryside Rangers and local Environment Groups in creating healthier, greener and more wildlife-rich spaces across the borough. Whether it’s a peaceful woodland, a buzzing wildflower meadow, or a winding waterway, you’ll be helping to protect and enhance the natural beauty of Bracknell Forest.

🌿 Why Get Involved?

This isn’t just volunteering – it’s a chance to:
🌼 Protect local wildlife and boost biodiversity
💪 Get active in the fresh air (no gym required!)
🌻 Feel good, both mentally and physically
😊 Connect with friendly, like-minded people
🌍 Be part of something bigger; a movement for nature and community!

From tree planting to coppicing, invasive species removal to creating wildflower havens, every task you take on helps nature thrive – and helps you thrive too! Our volunteer tasks directly contribute to the Bracknell Forest Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) and Climate Change Strategy (CCS). The BAP focuses on conserving biodiversity across six habitat themes, while the CCS aims to reduce carbon emissions and lead community efforts against climate change.

💚 Volunteering That Suits You

Becoming a Green & Active volunteer doesn’t mean locking yourself into a rigid schedule. Whether you’ve got a free morning every week or just a few hours every now and then, you’re always welcome! 🌟 No pressure, no long-term commitment. Just turn up when you can and make a difference. Every bit of time you give helps nature (and your wellbeing!) to thrive! So come along when it suits you, try out a task, and see how good it feels to get Green and Active!
